Visa Waiver Program - Another Major Blunder

I have reached the point where I am hardly surprised when our government, much as I love it, does something really, really stupid.

The Visa Waiver Program allows citizens of a dozen or so other countries to enter the United States - yup, you guessed it - WITHOUT A VISA!

Washington is perfectly willing to place at risk the people of the United States as long as in the process they can cater to corporate greed. Oh of course, the justification for the VWP sounds quite benign and the way it is described makes you almost un-American if you don't see how wonderful it is.

These visitors from abroad have to meet certain requirements but any semi-clever terrorist with mischief in mind certainly can circumvent them.

This is another huge gaping loophole in our already sieve-like national security. It is an egregious affront to us, but as long as the Big Money guys benefit, that's what counts.

Read about this at the link below. This program needs to be abolished by Congress. As always it is up to you to speak out and make such a stink that they have to listen. Be sure to let everyone you know the facts about the VWP and the dangers it presents.
